I love Sky Plus. (The British version of TiVo).
No, scratch that...
I FUCKING LOVE Sky Plus.
I really don't know what I did without it. Before Sky Plus I would watch the breakfast news and precious little else. Now I watch Stargate over crunchy nut cornflakes, Scrubs over lunch and Dead Like Me, Smallville, The O.C., South Park, Pimp my ride and another channel that I'll come on to just now, over dinner.
I love it. I fast forward through adverts, I pause it when nature or Celeste calls, I never miss an episode of anything - and you know what, as much as I loathe Rupert Murdoch, I can't help but want to shake his hand in appreciation.
As for that other channel, well now that is alarming. I remember when I was a teenager, my parents used to watch this channel and I used to think it was, a pile of crap that should be forever condemmed to room 101. Now I think this channel is the mutt's nuts and the channel I used to watch instead is a pile of crap that should be forever....
I'm not ashamed. I have found new love with VH1. All is forgiven for playing all that 80's shite and anything by Annie "fucking shoot me now" Lennox.
As for MTV, shame, shame. Since you lost Ray Cokes, you've been nothing, NOTHING. Nothing without such fantastic gags as:
