Disaster, someone call Lassie.
The Civilisation IV release has been put back by a week to next Friday. This means that I'll only get the game on the morning we leave for Kenya.
Shit.
So I get an hour with it before we go instead of a week. Would it be better for me to just leave it unopened?
The only alternative to me being with Civ IV yet without Civ IV for a fortnight would be to take the laptop with me. The hotel does have Wi-Fi access as well, but then do I really want to spend two weeks in the sun worrying about whether my laptop is going to be stolen? I'm not even going to take my iPod - this is Africa after all and in Africa it is always better to keep your eyes and ears open.
This is also meant to be a romantic holiday, so much so that when I talked about which books I was going to take with me, Celeste promptly informed me that I would not be reading at all on the holiday and that was the end of that - I was to talk to her instead. So somehow, I doubt the laptop will be a welcome sight.
For information purposes, I'm taking Philip Pulman's Dark Materials, Dan Brown's The Da Vinci code and another book called Sleb, by some guy I can't remember. After all, you can't talk ALL the time. Heh, heh.
Smart Tilesey, real smart, but which books you're going to take with you on the blog - she'll never see it there. Speaking of which, just to ease your concerns about Celeste's wellbeing and lack of presence in the blog world, I can confirm that she is alive and well, although she does have a sore arm from the diphtheria injection yesterday.
Sometimes you are a sad sad sad man.
By talk I actually meant shag you rotten but if you'd rather read then so be it.
