I blew up my desk this morning.
There was a white flash and a popping noise.
Kinda cool, 'ey? Be none of you lot have done that!
Yeah, I thought so. Work weren't so pleased although they did see the funny side.
So this morning I learnt that you shouldn't push the top of the desk into the power cord hanging from the back of your desktop PC. This will cause the desk to cut through the rubber insulation of the power cord and will then cause the desk to become live, be it for a short time. Not knowing your own strength can be amusing at times.
Frankly I am disappointed that with the application of an electric shock, my desk, or at least the food remains in my keyboard, didn't reanimate Frankenstein-style.
Now keep this on the down-low, but the fuse from my desk fan is now the only thing keeping this desk (safely) electrified (I've replaced the power cable), if it cuts out then I have to move back to the naughty desk and the rubbish "no mouse wheel" PC.
