Girlie man... by Tris

I've been trying to post for days. Unfortunately, with Celeste being unable to blog from her new place of work (which is a good thing), I have to hold the fort (which is a bad thing).

I have been trying to post, but everything I write seems to spiral out of control and it just ends up in the bin.

So, bollocks to it.

I'm going to blog about clothes. Yes, clothes, and how much the High Street designers piss me off.

Now, I've lost a lot of weight over the last two years - 2 stone, or 28 pounds or 12 KG, or simply put: Wooo! This instantly puts me in the, "Shit, all my clothes are massive - I need some smaller ones" position.

So new clothes have been bought, they have fitted, I have lost more weight, they stopped fitting, more new clothes have been bought, etc, etc.

I go to the gym (hence the weight-loss) and although I am no Governator, nor do I have overly massive man-boobs, I most certainly have shoulders (weights) and thighs (running).

High Street designers do not seem to have grasped the fact that some men actually look healthy, rather than look like fat bastards. I find it impossible to find shirts now. They either fit my neck and shoulders but look like tents or they don't fit my neck, squeeze my shoulders making me look daft but at least I don't look like I'm wearing a tent. Trousers are even worse, if I can pull them up over my thighs then they are too big for my waist. Hello David Hasselhoff.

The only clothes that fit well are surfer dude clothes, which is kind of cool. Me being a qualified kite-surfer and all.

When I was fat, I had no trouble finding clothes that fitted, no trouble at all. Now that I am slim, it is a world of pain. Funnily enough, the opposite thing seems to be true if you're a girl - maybe I should start wearing the girlie clothes... Or drinking more beer...

Quite predictably, I say:

"DRINK MORE BEER TILESEY! WOOO HOOO!" (and chuck in a gateaux or two on the way)

Er, and - I like that tight on the rippling muscular shoulders thing with shirts - grr!
