People amaze me sometimes.
Two Star Wars fans are in a critical condition in hospital after apparently trying to make lightsabres by filling fluorescent light tubes with petrol.
A man, aged 20, and a girl of 17 are believed to have been filming a mock duel when they poured fuel into two glass tubes and lit it.
Wow, talk about dumb. I expected them to be between 8 and 14 years old and/or American, but no - they're 17 and 20 and from Hertfordshire!
Only one more thing needs to be said:
Durrrrr.
The sooner the boffins stop wasting their time doing things like searching for the cure for cancer and get down to designing a functioning lightsabre that can be used in the home, the sooner we'll see an end to pointlessly tragic accidents like these.
I might write to my MP.
